The Boys season 4 Trailer breakdown
As expected, the new season will be a full action packed package. The trailer itself looks absolutely crazy in the beat way possible, like how there are going to top themselves each season, I mean it just gets crazier, crazier and crazier every time.
In the beginning of the trailer, Homelander is sitting up in his room in the similar old fashion we have seen earlier and we also know how that end up. Homelander staring walls usually gives a dark vibe like he is planning some plot. Homelander immensly loves his public image unlike any other superhero. In the trailer, it seems that now the public has different opinions, there are many people who are not in the favour of the anti hero, creating havoc and public clashes. I believe it is due to the exposed compound V substance that gives power to the supes. Homelander on trial makes him more vulnerable emotionally and mentally.
It seems like Homelander wants to shift the power scale by eliminating the ones in government. Similar things have happens in the comics where Homelander takes the charge of the White house. Now, I don’t think that Homelander will be playing the democracy game here, he will be trying to eliminate the opposition permanently. He even says to other supes in the trailer to show the wraith of Gods which means that he wants to be the god like figure in the series.
Billy Butcher will be back with his Boys, in the last season, doctor gave Billy less than 2 years of life. It seems like he will try to correct the mistakes that he has made. Billy is still not in the good books of his son Ryan Butcher which he is struggling with. In the trailer, someone approach Billy, could be someone from the government and wants Billy to finish what he has started. In the last season, Billy has Soldier boy as his muscle and because of the obvious reasons The Boys have to find the another solution for their problem.
The Boys comes to know about a virus kept in some secret facility, that has the potential to kill all supes. In the series that will try to acquire that virus and try to kill all the supes ones and for all. Billy has tried similar thing in the comics. So, this is my brief overview of the trailer but there are some other interesting details that are worth attention.
Return of Black Noir
Our black costumed superhero Black Noir is a super powered ninja assassin. To the public whatever is behind the mask is a complete mystery and that actually make him more terrifying. This super human is a complete mystery. Many fans were sad when Homelander kills Black Noir in the season 3. People even argue that they only sees the mystery man in an action in a very limited occasions.
However, In the trailer Black Noir is back in action somehow. We know that he has a heeling factor but it’s not like Deadpool or Wolverine. So, it is out of my mind how he comes back. With his comeback there is a question If he comes for revenge? well it doesn’t seems that way in the trailer he was shown fighting Billy probably working for Homelander. Well, I guess we all will find out real soon.
Who are the new supes in the boys ?
In the trailer, we have seen that there are number of new supes with crazy powers. The old team has been broken I mean Starlight left, Queen Maeve dies and the thing with stormfront we all know. Homelander likes to be in charge of the things so, I think he is trying to built his own army of supes to rule the world. He has hired new crazy supes in his super 7.
Firecracker and Sister Sage will be joining Homelander in the The boys season 4. There are other many characters in the trailer that are still unknown. Homelander might be trying to connect with the supes that were held prisoned shown in the last season. It would be crazy to watch how everything unfolds.
Character development of the deep
The Deep has always creates an unwanted controversies around him. We have seen him facing serious accusations against Starlight in the first season. Then he went on his redemption ark after he has been kicked out of the 7’s. He improved his image and comes back with the Homelander. The Deep always tries to impress Homelander ofcourse for obvious reasons.
In the new trailer, The Deep that we know, is not there anymore. He is known for his insecurities but he seems more confident in the new trailer. In the boys season 4, we will see more of the character development of the sea king.
What will be the role of A Train in season 4 ?
Unlike Deep, A Train is having a hard time in his character development. Though he is an elite level superhero yet he is really struggles with what is right or wrong. He has been seen conflicted, confused in the new trailer. In the last season, A Train has been shown acting on his emotions. He is realizing his duty, responsibility as a supe. But so far, he remains faithful to his leader, he even turn in the traitors to be in the good books of Homelander.
I personally believe that A Train will play a vital role in the downfall of Homelander but he first has to comes out of his shadow for doing that. It would be interesting to see what A Train will do next season.
Will Billy Buther Kills Homelander in season 4 ?
Now, the biggest question will Billy butcher be able to kill his enemy this time. Honestly speaking, I am very doubtful about that. Let just say somehow Billy managed to kill the Homelander with the virus then the question would be what will happen to The Boys franchise? will there be any season 5? I am saying this because Homelander is the heart and soul of The Boys, if they kills him then how they will continue the series without him? unless the writers have something exceptional in mind, I don’t think that the boys can be able to kill Homelander. I guess we will find answers to these questions soon.
